Overview

Cristina Burke-Trees is a curator and exhibition producer. After studying 3D design in Switzerland, she developed a curatorial interest in Art-science practice and research. Cristina worked in the British Isles as a freelance exhibition producer and project manager for over ten years before creating Art Terracina. Besides producing a series of seminars, talks, workshops, drama, music and corporate events, Cristina also produced a large number of multimedia art exhibitions working with regional and international artists, often with experimental productions and accompanying catalogues. The project has hosted exhibitions in Exeter and a variety of touring shows. Cristina holds an MA in Critical Curatorial Practice and is curator and coordinator of the 1914FACES2014 project. At the same time she is working on a biography and retrospective exhibition, re-discovering a remarkable but forgotten artist. Cristina is also pursuing her interest in neuro/psychological disorders in artists and its potential to produce new understandings of the functioning of the brain and is planning a project and exhibition on this subject.
