Translation! Festival 2019: Languages in Motion, Friday 27 September
Translation! Festival 2019: Languages in Motion is a one-day festival celebrating the rich linguistic and cultural diversity found in the UK, with events at Exeter Phoenix, Exeter Library and RAMM. The festival is organised by the University of Exeter’s Translation MA group, and kindly supported by the British Academy.
The events are all free and offered on a first come, first served basis. A diverse range of workshops, performances and interactive events run by local and international experts provide something for all ages and interests.

‘The Spectacular Translation Machine’ Roll up your sleeves and help us bring a French illustrated novel alive in English, in this all-day live translation event.
Wordkeys: The 4D Translation Game Work together to find hidden clues and solve the puzzle. Messages written in a variety of languages, phrasebooks provided!

Live Performances
Hear poetry, music and bilingual readings throughout the day.
Foreign Language Films
Enjoy a specially selected schedule of foreign language films including 'El Munde Sigue' with introductions and Q&A sessions with the subtitlers!
