Mandarin Chinese Beginners (FLM1130)

Mandarin Chinese Beginners is designed for those with little or no previous knowledge of Chinese, and provides an introduction to the basics of Chinese language and culture within the context of typical, everyday situations.
You’ll be given a solid foundation of the basic grammatical structures of the language, which will allow you to listen, speak, read, and write at an elementary level on a variety of topics. Particular emphasis is placed on listening and speaking. You’ll also learn about the customs, culture and society in which Chinese is spoken in order to develop awareness of the language’s background and context.
