My name is Emily Wakley and I am an Associate Lecturer (E&S) for British Sign Language in the College of Humanities. I am also a Module Convenor for both beginner and intermediate modules.

Although I have been in my current role since 2015, I have also been teaching BSL levels 1 and 2 as part of the Evening Language Programme at the Foreign Language, since 2013. It is here where learners could obtain a recognised Signature qualification

I have an NVQ Level 6 in BSL and my interests include developing my understanding and knowledge of the Linguistics of BSL
