Penryn

Boost your employability and global profile by using up to 30 credits per year to study a foreign language alongside your degree programme at no extra cost.

You can choose to have these additional skills formally recognised on your degree title when having completed a minimum of 60 credits in the same language by the end of your undergraduate studies.

  • Develop a cultural awareness and adaptability
  • Manage and analyse information
  • Articulate ideas and arguments
  • Solve problems
  • Develop your critical thinking
  • Increase your employability skills and job prospects
  • Prepare for working or studying abroad

As a future global citizen, you will travel, live and work in countries across the world where different language communities cohabit and play an important part in the way society is configured. This is why it makes a difference to learn a second language and get the skills you develop with it named on your degree title. By completing a minimum of 60 credits in Cornish, of which 30 credits must be at an Intermediate level or higher, your language will be recognised in your degree title as ‘…with proficiency in Cornish’.

  • Beginner: A complete beginner with little or no previous experience of the language
