Multilingualism, Migration and the Multilingual City Symposium 2021

Multilingualism, Migration and the Multilingual City Symposium 2021

The Universities of Exeter and Nanyang are delighted to host a symposium bringing together global experts on multilingualism & migration.

We are proud to present this online symposium, hosted by the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Exeter and Department of Linguistics and Multilingual Studies at Nanyang Technological University.

The presentations will focus on case studies of multilingualism and migration with a particular focus on the multilingual city, followed by a final round table on the study of multilingualism in the city. Speakers from both universities will present their current research, together with experts from other universities in the UK, Germany, East Timor and Australia.

This symposium has been jointly organised by the University of Exeter, UK (Dr Francesco Goglia) and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (Prof Francesco Cavallaro) and supported financially by Exeter Global Partnerships (2020-21 Outward Mobility Academic Fellowship).
