Overview

Steve Bassett joined as Department Manager for Languages, Cultures and Visual Studies in September 2022.

He previously worked in the Global Partnerships team as Regional Head for South Asia and was responsible for delivering the University’s partnership strategy across India and neighbouring countries, alongside supporting the College of Humanities with its global strategy. Prior to this, Steve worked with the University’s Study Abroad and Global Opportunities teams in overseeing student exchange agreements and international student mobility for the College of Humanities. Before joining the University of Exeter in 2014, Steve worked in English language teaching in Tanzania, Italy and the UK.
