From the moment I first contacted potential supervisors about applying for a PhD, Exeter stood out to me for the interest that they expressed in my project, as well as in the support that they were able to offer. During my time at Exeter, I’ve had the opportunity to develop and extend my research in a variety of exciting ways, including teaching undergraduates, organising conferences and colloquia, and working with local schools and colleges to share the importance of language-learning. The city of Exeter is also a stimulating environment in which to conduct medieval research, with our own Centre for Medieval Studies bringing together PGRs from across the disciplines.
